Key Information:
Salary: £35,000
Location: London/Moorgate office
Working pattern: Hybrid, 3 days in the office (5 days in the office during 3 month probation)
Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Monday - Friday
Reporting to: Head of Recruitment and Retention
What You’ll Do
Manage the Full Recruitment Lifecycle: Take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process, from briefing vacancies through to offer management and onboarding.
Proactive Talent Sourcing: Go beyond job adverts by proactively identifying, engaging, and building relationships with exceptional candidates.
Candidate Assessment: Conduct effective video interviews, assessing skills, behaviours, and cultural alignment to identify high-potential talent that will thrive at EMJ.
Partner with Hiring Managers: Work closely with hiring managers to define ideal candidate profiles, provide market insights, align expectations, and support confident hiring decisions.
Deliver an Outstanding Candidate Experience: Ensure every candidate receives clear communication, timely updates, and a positive, professional experience throughout the recruitment process.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas, challenge existing processes, and embrace feedback to help evolve and enhance our recruitment approach.
Support Talent & Employer Brand Initiatives: Play an active role in employer branding, recruitment campaigns, careers events, and talent projects that strengthen our pipeline and showcase EMJ as an employer of choice.
Who You Are
Recruitment Experience: Experienced in 360 recruitment, with a focus on candidate assessment and experience. Experience hiring within publishing is a bonus.
Growth Mindset: Passionate about recruitment and committed to continuous improvement, always looking for ways to enhance both the candidate experience and employer brand.
Highly Organised: Able to effectively manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and deliver against deadlines.
Strong Communicator: Confident building relationships at all levels, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive & Solutions-Focused: Takes initiative, anticipates needs, and identifies opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
