EMJ is looking for a driven and meticulous Finance Assistant. The right candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of management accounts, balance sheet reviews and has knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Expectations
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Fixed Asset Register, Prepayment and Accrual reconciliation.
- Control account reconciliation.
- Journal postings to accounts system.
- Commission calculation for sales team.
- Reconciliation of CRM to accounts system.
- Assisting Finance manager with preparation of weekly cashflow.
- Support our Legal and Procurement department on an ad hoc basis.
- Updating Finance KPIs and metrics.
- Various ad hoc projects.
Experience Required
Essential
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent telephone manner.
- Capable of working with colleagues across departments.
- Excellent organisation skills and great attention to detail.
- A quick learner and an appetite to learn.
- Studying AAT or degree in Accounting and Finance.
- Strong Excel knowledge.
Desirable
- Experience using Xero and Zoho (CRM).
- 6 months to 1 year of experience working in a Accounting and Finance team.
Key Information
- Salary: £25,000.
- Reports to: Beau McCarthy (Finance Manager)
- Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Mon-Fri
- Working pattern: Up to 2 days flexibility to work from home (FT in office during probation)
- Location: Moorgate, London
