Head of Marketing

EMJ is looking for an experienced and motivated Head of Marketing, to support the Marketing Director in our company goal of becoming the go-to place for healthcare professionals and pharma globally. Also, to line manage, motivate, mentor and upskill a team of marketeers and to boost efficiency and effectiveness of the marketing functions.

Expectations
- Oversee workflow management of the Marketing Team, including client campaign activation and marketing campaign planning and execution.
- Manage audience databases and mailing lists to maintain, segment, and expand our audience reach.
- Plan and execute paid media campaigns across various channels, with a focus on search, social, and display advertising.
- Support the Marketing Director in enhancing and promoting the EMJ brand(s) consistently across all departments and ensuring alignment with target audiences.
- Deliver marketing performance metrics and insights to other departments and stakeholders, acting as a liaison between marketing, design, editorial, sales, and client services teams.
- Directly oversee the day-to-day management of the marketing team.
- Drives innovation in existing marketing processes and initiatives
Experience Required
- Genuine passion for marketing with over 7 years of experience.
- Goal-driven individual comfortable with KPIs and holding a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experienced in managing and coaching direct reports, with proficiency in CRM tactics and platforms.
- Strong experience with marketing automation tools like Hubspot and adept at CMS platforms like Wordpress, with HTML/CSS proficiency.
- Skilled in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and AdWords, with a preference for PR experience.
- Demonstrates excellent Excel skills and superb English language written and verbal communication abilities.

Marketing Director
- Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Mon-Fri
- Working pattern: Up to 2 days flexibility to work from home (FT in office during probation)
- Location: This role is based onsite in our London/Moorgate office
