As our Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the finance team, driving financial strategy, and enhancing our control environment. 🌟 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and mentor a small but mighty finance team, offering guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure smooth operations and accurate financial reporting.
• Take charge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting—your insights will be crucial for our strategic decision-making.
• Keep us in line with the latest regulations by overseeing year-end audits and working closely with external auditors to make sure everything is in perfect shape.
• Strengthen the control environment across departments, ensuring that our financial data is top-notch and error-free.
• Collaborate with senior management to communicate financial performance in ways that directly influence business strategy – think of yourself as the link between finance and growth!
• Handle key stakeholder relationships—you’ll liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to keep everyone informed and in the loop.
• Lead exciting project work to improve financial systems, data quality, and analytics across EMJ, ensuring we’re always evolving and improving.

📈 What We’re Looking For:

• You’re fully ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified or finalist and have solid experience managing finances within a fast-paced environment.
• A finance guru with experience in data-focused financial management—you love diving deep into the details while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
• You’re great at financial analysis and have a knack for making data-driven recommendations to boost business performance.
• Advanced at Excel and financial software, with the ability to create meaningful insights from data.
• Proven leadership skills—you’ve managed or mentored a team and can inspire them to deliver their best.
• You’ve got strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communicator, comfortable explaining financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Key Information

• Reports to: Finance Director 
• Line manager to 2 x Finance Assistants
• Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Mon-Fri
• Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
• Working Pattern: Hybrid working minimum 3 days in the offic (FT in office during probation)
• Location: This role is based onsite in our London/Moorgate office

We operate a hybrid working environment. We’d expect to see you in the office at least 3 days a week. During your probation, though, you’ll be in with us all five days—it’s the best way to get you up to speed and support your development. So, if you’re after something fully remote, this probably won’t be the right fit - we encourage people in office, where we people are achieving their personal and professional goals.
