What does a typical workday look like for you?
I am responsible for onboarding more GMWs like myself. A major part of my day is spent speaking with passionate individuals and exploring how they can become part of EMJ, contributing to the elevation of healthcare quality globally. Once they join, I introduce them to our work and methodologies. Additionally, I gather feedback from them to ensure they have all the resources necessary to excel in their roles.
-
Can you tell us about what you did before coming to EMJ? How has it helped you with your current role?
I recently completed my master's in Human Resource Management and have over four years of experience working as a recruiter. The knowledge and experience I gained from working in various industries and understanding what creates the best work environment help me continuously improve our processes at EMJ and attract top talent.

What 3 words would someone on your team say about you?
Dedicated, On-It, Amazing!

How is EMJ different to other workplaces?
Our values-driven approach attracts passionate, hardworking, and innovative thinkers. At EMJ, we are compassionate and driven individuals who not only strive for excellence at work but also continually work on improving our personal lives and those of the people around us, all while contributing to making the world a better place.

Describe your proudest moment at EMJ and explain why.
If this question were asked every week, I’m sure I would have a different answer each time, as I am always striving to improve the quality of my work. One consistent source of pride for me is seeing new employees start and excel. Every time this happens, I feel a deep sense of accomplishment. Additionally, I have been able to leverage my skills to enhance team building and foster a sense of community beyond our day-to-day work. This holistic approach to workplace culture is something I take great pride in.
-
What’s an interesting fact about you outside of work?
Outside of work, I really enjoy dancing and cooking. Dancing lets me be creative and keeps me active, while cooking is my therapeutic outlet where I love trying out new flavours and recipes from different cultures. And I'm a big theatre enthusiast too! Back in university and school, I was actually the president of the theatre club. It was such a fun experience, and it really fuelled my love for storytelling and the arts as powerful tools for communication and empathy.
-
How would you spend your last £1?
If I had only £1 left and it was my last day on earth, I would spend it on a small act of kindness, such as buying a piece of fruit or a bottle of water for someone in need. I believe that even a small gesture can make a big difference in someone's day, and using my last £1 to help someone else would bring me a sense of fulfilment and purpose.

Who has had the most impact on your career to date and why?
My parents have had the most significant impact on my career to date. My dad, coming from a humble background, served in the armed forces for nearly three decades and did exceptionally well for himself. His dedication, discipline, and work ethic have been a constant source of inspiration for me. My mom has always been my biggest supporter, encouraging me to pursue my dreams and instilling in me the values of perseverance, independence and hard work. Together, their support and guidance have shaped my career path and motivated me to strive for excellence in everything I do.

What’s your BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal)?
My BHAG is to establish a network or community for people living outside their home countries, where they can seek professional advice and mentorship for their careers. This diaspora network would also provide a platform for individuals in similar situations to connect and form friendships, creating a diverse and supportive community.
