What does a typical workday look like for you?
As the Marketing Manager for a medical publishing company, I focus on driving marketing strategies that boost key metrics like website traffic, engagement, and lead generation. I handle multi-channel campaigns from start to finish, working with different teams to promote our content and grow referral traffic through media partnerships. I also collaborate with stakeholders to better understand our audience, making sure our campaigns fit the brand and hit the mark. I keep track of how our campaigns are performing and recommend new ideas and strategies to keep improving our results.

Can you tell us about what you did before coming to EMJ? How has it helped you with your current role?
Before EMJ, I worked at a media agency in New Zealand, managing multiple clients in a fast-paced environment. Juggling tasks, prioritising quickly, and keeping projects on track were daily challenges that prepped me for my current role.

How is EMJ different to other workplaces?
I'll narrow it down to 2 reasons…
1. We prioritise value alignment in our hiring process to ensure everyone on the team shares a common mindset. This way, we not only work hard toward our goals but also genuinely enjoy working together and having fun.
2. We're highly ambitious and encourage all ideas. We're also growing rapidly which is an exciting environment to work in!

Describe your proudest moment at EMJ and explain why.
My proudest achievement at EMJ so far has been leading the marketing activity for the successful launch of our interactive content. It’s exciting to be part of a company that embraces innovation and explores different approaches to push the boundaries of medical education.

What’s an interesting fact about you outside of work?
-
How would you spend your last £1?
If I had just £1 left, I’d buy a scratch card. As an optimist, I see it as a calculated risk with the potential for a big reward. It’s a small chance, but one worth taking!

Who has had the most impact on your career to date and why?
My dad has played a huge role in shaping my career. He's always been there when I needed to talk things through, giving me just the right mix of advice and encouragement. He's great at pushing me to reach my potential while also guiding me through any challenges I face. Plus, he's an absolute legend!

What’s your BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal)?
