After studying Biochemistry and completing a PhD in Cardiovascular Biology at the University of Bristol, I soon came to realise that science communication was my real passion, so publishing became the obvious path for me. 

Over the years I worked in both book and journal publishing, building experience across a number of publishers, from two of the biggest STM publishers, to smaller independent ones.  I joined EMJ right before the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, so the following few years comprised an ongoing process of innovation and out-of-the box thinking, which we love to do at EMJ. Since starting at EMJ my team has successfully launched a webinar programme, in addition to our journals, and have significantly grown our podcast audience, having hosted some of the top experts across medical disciplines. It is a real privilege to lead the Editorial team, which comprises talented and driven individuals who are passionate about the content we produce.

I recently completed a yoga teacher training course, (although some postures are still impossible to master). I love travelling to different parts of the world, and spending time with my family.
