EMJ is looking for an Operations Lead to ensure that all fundamental tasks involved in running a high performing Operations function are performed to a high standard.
The ideal candidate is a positive, can-do go-getter, who brings vibrant energy and enthusiasm to the office every day.
A natural leader, motivator, and mentor. Super organised, amazing attention to detail and very calm under pressure. Well versed in booking efficient and cost-effective international travel for employees.

Expectations
- Organise employee attendance of various international and domestic events, including scheduling, travel, and accommodation; liaising with event organisers, travel and hospitality providers; conducting post-event briefings; supporting EA with organising several internal company events and ensuring that they are carried out to a high standard; organising logistics for external meetings; etc
- Deliver on our 'Congress Score' - the experience employees have at various international events.
- Support Head of People with employee off-boarding, performance review management and maintaining our HR software (HiBob) and other ad-hoc projects
- Maintaining IT systems and external IT support, including company wide hardware and software
- Leading the Operations Assistant to maintain a fully functioning office environment
- Managing the Process & Workflow Lead to ensure all processes, procedures and policies are up-to-date and adhered to across the company
- Supporting and advising employees where needed; supporting senior management where needed; managing the company calendar developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and productivity within both the Operations department and other departments
Experience Required
- Excellent attention to detail, the ability to 'sweat the small stuff', knowing the importance to the bigger picture
- Typically experienced as either an Office Manager or Operations specialist, bonus if any exposure to HR process
- An effective communicator from the most junior to the most senior stakeholder, adept and implementing strategy and supporting employees

- Salary: Up to £40,000
- Commission: If relevant
- Reports to: Finance Director
- Responsible for: Operations Assistant, Process & Workflow Lead
- Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Mon-Fri
- Working pattern: Full time in office, due to the nature of the role
- Location: This role is based onsite in our London/Moorgate office
